I must admit, I am very much enjoying the mellow weather I woke up to this morning.

Looks like March is In Like a Lamb :)

It was a treat to go for a run without dreading the bitter wind and blowing snow! There's still snow aplenty at the ski hills to satisfy my heart..

Speaking of lambs,  I came across this recipe for grilled lamb chops! Of course, the word 'simple' in the title attracted me. Who has time for complicated recipes?

Neatly enough, one of our feature Wine of the Months- Sangiovese (Chianti) will pair beautifully with this dish. Let me know what you think.

Here's a link to follow for the recipe.

I sincerely hope March is not 'Out like a Lion'

Pretty certain there aren't recipes to match with that line ;)

We have two days of unusual store hours coming up this March.

As some of you may have noticed-my thought to be skiing every morning this month isn't really working out for me! There is much to catch up on after such an extended period of downtime for me. I seem to be here six days a week at the moment.

However- there are two Saturdays in March when I can't be here.

March 10th and 24th- Wine Kitz will be closed. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Happy March, All!

Cheers,

Kerry

PS- Green wine for Saint Patricks Day?  No.

The first three kits have been through the store now, and I've actually had a chance to bottle the Grenache! I was, of course, impressed. I Love a hint of spice in my wines and this does not disappoint.

The Viognier blend is currently sold out-but hopefully I will be able to get my hands on a kit or two with my next shipment.

I made a batch of the Aglianico for a customer yesterday-the juice smells delicious! Cannot wait to taste it on bottling day.

End of March will see the final kit for 2018 in store- Californian Two Roads Red. Petit Syrah, Zin and Cab Sauv. It will be divine, I am sure!
